absolute comfort

Generations of work by Tablelands Merino farms have produced Merino wool of superior softness and strength which cannot be replicated by any other fibre.

Only Merino wool fleeces which test less than 17.3 micron will ensure absolute itch-free comfort next to skin. Comfort and softness are ensured by offering Merino wool fibre in 3 grades:

  • Exultra (14.5 and finer) – the ultimate in luxury fibre
  • Ultrafine (15.5 -14.6 micron) – softer than cashmere
  • Superfine (17.3- 15.6 micron) – no harsh fibres to cause prickle

Tablelands Merino

.

Tablelands Merino is a group of committed wool growers situated on the New England Tablelands of NSW, a spectacular and unique region in the high country on the East coast of Australia. Due to our cool climate and reliable rainfall this area is widely regarded by industry as ideal for delivering a consistent supply of high quality clean, sound, bright and soft Merino fleece. The New England Tablelands has long been regarded as the home of the specialised high quality superfine and ultrafine merino and Tablelands Merino is determined to further enhance this reputation.

All Tablelands Merino wool is grown on farms that have been owned and operated by the same families for decades, in many cases over 100 years, and growing specialised superfine and ultrafine Merino wool has been a continuing passion for these families. The traditions of these farms are preserved whilst the most up to date grazing and animal husbandry practices have been adopted to guarantee animal welfare and our future sustainability. We sell only the Merino wool we produce and do so very proudly.

All merino supplied can be traced back to the individual farms which supplied wool for that order. Pride in the unique attributes of the wool grown on these farms and the ability to share the stories of that production is shown in this proposal to deliver the best superfine and ultrafine Merino wool produced.

Generations of work by Tablelands Merino farms have produced Merino wool of superior softness and strength which cannot be replicated by any other fibre.

Only Merino wool fleeces which test less than 17.3 micron will ensure absolute itch free comfort next to skin.

A natural mix of softness and strength, Tablelands Merino wool is gentle on your skin as well as on the planet.
